A career spent on
how people learn.
We didn't come to AI looking for a use for it. We came with fifteen years of building learning systems — and a clear sense of where AI changes the outcome and where it's just noise.
John and I built custom learning management systems together at Agilence — later acquired by eLearning Brothers.
For the insurance and finance industries, we shipped LMSs that were genuinely state of the art: every feature the large players had, at a fraction of the cost, built to standards regulated industries can't compromise on. That work taught us what actually makes training stick — and what just looks good in a demo.
When generative AI arrived, we explored it honestly. We built avatar solutions on top of Synthesia, HeyGen and Colossyan. Early adopters were fascinated, but most struggled to find a use case that returned real ROI. So we kept looking for the place where it mattered.
We found it. Taking multi-hour advisor debriefs entirely off the calendar with personalized AI avatars saved our client dramatic time and money — and they're now scaling it into an enterprise program. That clarified everything: AI belongs exactly where it removes real cost or creates real practice. Nowhere else.
So we came home to learning — the thing we've done for two decades — and asked a sharper question: not “how do we use AI,” but “where does AI genuinely move the needle?” The personas, the coaches, Render 2.0 — all of it answers that one question.
Four principles we won't bend.
AI only where it moves the needle
If it doesn't change a real outcome, it doesn't ship. We'd rather leave AI out than bolt it on for show.
Built on real learning science
Two decades of knowing what makes training work sits under every system — the AI serves the learning, not the reverse.
Enterprise-grade by default
Multi-tenant, secure, auditable. The same standard regulated insurance and finance clients demanded of us for years.
Measured by outcomes
Time saved, retention raised, consistency fixed. We hold ourselves to the number, not the novelty.
